Prison Elika Asasi escapee from Westmead Hospital, entered car Christopher Szenczy

Prison escaped and wanted man running after leaving Sydney Hospital

A jail escapee and a wanted man she is thought to be on the run from police in west Sydney.

Elika Asasi, 27, escaped from custody at Westmead Hospital this morning and is believed to have entered a 31-year-old Christopher Szenczy vehicle.

The pair took off in a silver Kia Sorrento with substantial damage to the side doors of the front and rear driver and NSW CZ83LS registration plates.

After 10.35am, the vehicle was last seen moving along Hawkesbury Lane.

Asasi is identified as Mediterranean/Middle Eastern, around 165cm tall, medium-built, with brown hair.

She was last seen wearing front jail greens and handcuffs.

It's not known whether she's changed clothes.

Prison Elika Asasi Szenczy, who is wanted on an outstanding drug and property-related crime warrant, is identified as Caucasian-like.

He's about 170cm tall, strong short brown hair.

He was last seen wearing a navy blue t-shirt and shorts, jogging with black sunglasses.

The pair are known to have ties in areas of Penrith, Glenmore Park, Beverley Hills, Revesby, and Port Macquarie.

Police urge those with information about their whereabouts.

The public shouldn't approach the pair, but call Triple Zero.
