A wheelchair-bound gunman is said to have opened fire outside a New York City deli.

According to police sources, a wheelchair-bound guy opened fire on a gathering of people outside a heavily trafficked Manhattan deli on Friday night.

Leroy Mensah, 28, is accused of brandishing a 9mm pistol outside the Stop 1 Deli on Madison Street and Rutgers Street on the Lower East Side shortly before 10 p.m., according to law enforcement sources.

Mensah then allegedly discharged the pistol into a throng, according to sources who stated that no one was injured.

When contacted via phone, a bodega employee verified that bullets were fired, but was unaware of the "circumstances of the events."

Cops pursued and caught the guy, sources added.

The NYPD was unable to share information on the case immediately.

The place where bullets were fired is two blocks from the East Broadway F train stop, near several popular pubs and restaurants, and directly across the street from the Henry Rutgers Houses of the New York City Housing Authority.
