Cambridge Gardens shooting, Adel El-Khodr shot Brad Egan and Jasmine Serdiuk

Following a suspected shooting in Cambridge Gardens, a boyfriend in the area saw his girlfriend with her ex-boyfriend.

He has been arrested and charged with killing his girlfriend's ex-boyfriend after he found them together.

Emergency services were contacted about 11 p.m. on Thursday in Cambridge Gardens, which is situated west of Sydney.

The man they had been looking for, 34-year-old Brad Egan, was found in that area with a gunshot wound to his leg.

Adel El-Khodr, 42, was taken into custody and charged with unlawful possession of and the unauthorized use of a firearm, which carries a sentence of 25 years' imprisonment.

Mr. Ghanem reported that he had heard “a big argument” before the gunshots and screams.

The woman in-between the two men is Jasmine Serdiuk.

She was present in court on Friday as a supporter of El-Khodr, arguing that he was not a violent man and defending him.

However, police have confirmed that the alleged conduct is "ridiculous."

Jason Pietruska, who is the Acting Superintendent, said, “When you fire a weapon like that indiscriminately at someone, the ramifications can be fatal as we all know.”

The only thing that causes the accident to be non-life-threatening is good luck, not any other factor.

El-Khodr did not seek bail.

He will return to court in April.
