Cops are led on a wild goose chase around a Florida golf course by a woman.
Sheriff's deputies in Florida were shown on film racing through golf carts and befuddled golfers during a high-speed chase with an SUV on a golf course.
The Indian River County Sheriff's Office shared the daylight police dashcam footage to Facebook. It shows the SUV making a failed attempt to getaway from cops in the middle of the wide-open fairways at Grand Harbor golf course in Vero Beach.
Additionally, the tape reveals an unusual arrest that occurs when one of the sheriff's office vehicles collides with the SUV.
As a second car boxes in the SUV, the vehicle spins. The clip shows a woman leaping from the SUV's driver's seat, yelling and acting furious while wearing a provocative red jump suit.
When officers urge her to kneel, she does so – but curiously appears to use her cellphone, momentarily attempting to text someone or use an app before being thrown to the ground.
Jodi Ann Harvey, 60, was charged with DUI, criminal mischief, and aggravated assault on an officer.
Sheriff's deputies attempted to pull over Harvey shortly after 1 p.m. on Tuesday, but she refused to stop and instead fled through the Grand Harbor gates, according to the social media post.
There were no reported injuries, according to the post.
