Greg Slewidge obituary, murder by Michael Clairoux and Lee Marrazzo

Greg Slewidge was killed by two people in 2020.

One charge of first-degree murder for Lee Marrazzo and Michael Clairoux: They're both 47 years old and they're charged with murder.

A 39-year-old man named Greg Slewidge was found dead outside of Carleton Place, Ontario, on September 24, 2020. Two people have been charged with his death, and they will be tried together.

Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) said in October 2021 that Slewidge was likely killed inside the former meat-packing plant he had turned into a legal cannabis grow-op.

First-degree murder charges have been filed against two people who were arrested at an unknown time. Michael Clairoux and Lee Marrazzo were arrested and charged with first-degree murder, the OPP said Wednesday.

One of the OPP's detectives, Chris Landry, made the announcement in a video that was shared on social media. He also said that police think the victim knew both of the people who were charged with the crime.

The two will be in court on Wednesday.

For more than two decades, Slewidge sang the anthem for the Ottawa Senators. He was a Hells Angel and the son of a former OPP officer.

There is still a lot of work to be done, Landry said on Wednesday. Anyone who has more information about the case can call a tip line, their local police department or Crime Stoppers.

In a news release, the OPP thanked the police in Ottawa, Quebec, and Montreal for their help, as well as the police in Quebec.
