Destiny Leinfus and Gavin Bifalco dead, gunshot wounds inside Park Circle home in Shirley
Two people were found dead in their home on Long Island.
Authorities and a report say that a young Long Island couple was found shot to death at their home on Thursday. The deaths may have been a double suicide or murder-suicide.
Suffolk County Police said that at 4:50 p.m., Destiny Leinfus, 20, and Gavin Bifalco, 19, were found dead in her parents' Park Circle home in Shirley. Both had been shot.
Friday, detectives were still trying to figure out who fired the shots, but they said it looked like one or both of the pair killed themselves.
On Friday, police were unable to confirm that the two were dating, but Newsday said that they were.
Both of them stayed with Leinfus's parents.
Authorities said that the autopsies will be done by the Office of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner.
