Brianna Kupfer ucla student stabbed to death, kuper grad killed

When his daughter, 24, was randomly stabbed to death in a furniture store, her father blames LA's "woke" politicians and prosecutors.

The father of a UCLA grad student who was stabbed to death in broad daylight last week while working in a high-end furniture store in Los Angeles is angry at politicians for not paying attention to the recent rise in violent crime.

There are a lot of politicians who "forgot about people," Todd Kupfer told Fox News. They think the best way to get elected is to support the lowest rungs of our society and give them rights, and that somehow that's the way to get people to vote."

During a burglary at Croft House on Thursday, a man who is thought to be homeless came in around 1:50pm and stabbed Brianna Kupfer, 24, to death. She was Kupfer's only daughter. As soon as the back door was open, he ran through it and calmly walked down an alley.

The architectural design student from Pacific Palisades was found 20 minutes later by a customer who had been looking for him. There, she died before help came.

The LAPD found out that it was a random attack, and the suspect didn't know the person he was going to attack. In what they say happened, police say that the man had a dark sweatshirt and sunglasses, a white N-95 mask, and a dark back pack.

'We have a lot of criminals on the streets who should not be out,' Kupfer's father told Fox News.

In the high-end furniture store, Mandy Moore's Pasadena home has a sofa from Croft House. His daughter had been working as a design consultant there.

It broke Kupfer's heart when he said, "She was a kind person who always tried to make herself and everyone around her better." 'She cared about other people.'

The murder comes at a time when there has been a huge rise in crime in Los Angeles. Homicides in the city rose 52% last year, and shootings rose 59%.

There has been a big rise in violent crimes, but Kupfer thinks politicians aren't paying attention.

My daughter is a shining example of what's wrong with the world, and we need to stand up for her and make sure people know that. Because it could be their kids next, and it's an impossible price to pay.

DA George Gascón of Los Angeles County is under fire for not doing enough to stop the recent rise in violence.

With promises of major changes to the criminal justice system, he won over voters last year. But critics say that these changes put the interests of criminals above the safety of the community, according to Fox News.

The city has also been hit by a wave of robberies that follow people home and organized smash-and-grab attacks on stores.

Clarence Avant's wife, Jacqueline Avant, was 81 when she was shot and killed at her $2.7 million Beverly Hills home in December. She was the most well-known robbery victim.

They broke glass display cases at three stores in San Jose, California, on January 3. Then they took $110,000 worth of jewelry with them when they ran away from the shopping center.

14 people were taken into custody by LA police last November for their roles in 11 recent smash-and-grab robberies at stores in which nearly $340,000 worth of goods were stolen.

A Nordstrom in Los Angeles, a Lululemon in Studio City, a store in Fairfax, and a CVS pharmacy in South Los Angeles were some of the stores that were hit.

However, because the county has no-bail policies, all of the suspects were released within hours of being handcuffed.

'The truth is that we go through these cycles, and we go through these cycles for a number of reasons.' In many ways, we can't fight our way out of social inequalities, income inequality, the unhoused, and our own sense of need.

Gascon is in a fight right now over a transgender woman who has pleaded guilty to sexually assaulting a 10-year-old girl. The DA says she could be allowed to serve her sentence at home.

He didn't want to charge 26-year-old Hannah Tubbs as an adult for the crime she committed two weeks before her 18th birthday.

Tubbs saw a 10-year-old girl at a Denny's in Palmdale, California, on New Year's Eve in 2014. He followed her into the bathroom, held her by the throat, and shoved a hand down the girl's pants.

He won't sentence Tubbs as an adult because he was 17 when the attack took place.

a prosecutor and supporter of the movement to get rid of Gascon said that Tubbs was too dangerous to be in the juvenile justice system, and that he should be sent to adult prison instead.

People who follow George Gascon's "all-or-nothing" policies can be very dangerous, the man said.

As a separate scandal, his own police officers asked federal prosecutors to prosecute the alleged killers of an off-duty LAPD officer, even though he didn't want them to do so.

It was a fear that going after the four gang members who are accused of killing Officer Fernando Arroyos, 27, through the city of Gascon could lead to them getting lighter sentences. Sheriff Alex Villanueva asked the federal government to take the case.

Arroyos' suspected killers could have been sentenced to life in prison last year if they had been members of a gang, but that was changed by Gascon.

California law says that killers should serve 25 years to life without parole. Gascon's reforms would let killers get out of prison after they finish their sentence.

The federal charges they now face have special features that automatically make a sentence longer if the person is convicted to life in prison.

In the past, Gascon said that he would no longer seek sentencing enhancements in cases where gangs were involved as part of a prison reform policy that has become more and more controversial.

Brianna Kupfer

In the LA Times, Riley Rea, the co-owner of Croft House, said that Brianna was loved by her coworkers at the store where she worked for a year.

It was also said: 'She was mature for her age.'

Note: 'The entire Croft House family is deeply saddened by the tragic loss of our beloved team member on January 13, 2022,' it reads. Our La Brea Avenue store will be closed until further notice so that our employees can grieve and process this unthinkable tragedy, and so that law enforcement can finish their work.

Please keep the family, friends, and coworkers in your thoughts as we mourn, cherish, miss, and honor someone we love so much during this difficult time. We all love and care for this person so much. We send our love to the families and friends of everyone who works at Croft House. People should ask the LAPD about this tragic event.

It says, "We love you so much" at the bottom of the page.

Before the stabbing, Dr. Jennifer Botelho, the owner of a nearby chiropractic office, said the suspect came into her business.

His first question was, "Do you do orthopedics here?" She said, "He came in and asked a few questions." How we care for people, and then he left. So he was only here for a short time.

She said: "It's so scary." It's really bad. She's so young. We are so sorry for Brianna's family, and we hope we can find this person. We feel bad for them.

Her father called her a "angel" and a smart young woman who was devoted to her family and had big dreams.

For her family, Brianna is gone now. She leaves behind her mother and father as well as brothers Brandon and Tucker, as well as sister Mikaela, who was always there for her.
