In a murder-suicide pact, two Texas brothers murder their entire families, including grandmother.

According to a family friend, the deceased were Farhan and Farbin Towhid, twins aged 19, their older brother Tanvir, 21, their parents Iren and Towhidul Islam, and the children's grandmother.

As police arrived early Monday morning, they discovered all of the victims had died of gunshot wounds. The two brothers committed murder-suicide, police reported.

Farhan left a chilling note prior to the assault, which he linked to on his Instagram profile.

"Hello to everyone. I took my own life and that of my family "He penned.

The 19-year-old continues by explaining how he has been fighting depression since he entered high school, as has his brother, which is how they came up with the idea.

"If we are unable to resolve anything within a year, we will destroy ourselves and our families," the note states.

Farhan continues by describing the tragic scheme, which included acquiring two firearms and murdering their sister, parents, and grandmother before turning the firearms on themselves.

"They would be miserable if I killed only myself," he wrote. "My family means the world to me. I really believe that. That is precisely why I chose to exclude them."

Farhan detailed years of depression and self-harm in his letter, stating that finding treatment for mental health problems was difficult.

The killings, police say, happened sometime over the weekend.

According to KTVT, the family was a member of a close-knit Bangladeshi culture.

Shawn Ahsan, a family friend, told the publication that he was so taken aback by the news that he "couldn't breathe for 20 to 30 minutes."

"How is this possible in a culture like ours?" he inquired.

"We're so close, and we visit and chat and have dinner and things, but his children were unhappy for some reason, and one thing led to another."
