The Murder Tapes Puzzle Piece Bianca Rainer murder, Sex offender Harold Bennett guilty

Young mother Bianca Rainer was murdered in Arkansas by sex offender Harold Bennett.

Murder Recordings looks at Bianca Rainer's June 2018 murder in Blytheville, Arkansas. Service staff found the body of the 29-year-old woman.

Utility staff called the city's 2000-block West Rose area police. Police officers found Bianca's remains on the scene and sent her body to the State Medical Examiner's Office, which ruled her death as a homicide.

Sex offender Harold Bennett Guilty

The inquiry led police to Harold Bennett, arrested the same month as the shooting. Bennett was a class 4 sex offender for breaching his parole. Bennett was convicted of sex crimes in Jonesboro and failed to register as an offender when he moved to Blytheville.

As police interviewed Bennett, he admitted to assaulting Bianca, and the information he gave to the authorities matched the crime lab findings.

The Murder Tapes would reveal how one clue in Bianca's stomach led police to Bennett. "As I took photos of her body, I found a tiny piece of puzzle stuck in her stomach region. It was strange that one piece of puzzle stuck to her body," a researcher said on the show.

Harold Bennett was convicted of first-degree murder in August 2019, now serving a life term. On a jury decision, he got an additional 15 years for weapons enhancement; Judge Cindy Thyer accepted.

Second District Prosecutor Scott Ellington said after Bennett's trial that prosecutors had "worked very hard to present this case, and we are all pleased with the conviction for this heinous crime against a young woman and mother who was at the top of her life."
