Facebook for sadistic, perverted abusing thousands of boys
In a sickening online paedophile drive, an English worker has been jailed for 25 years for exploiting more than 5,000 boys.

David Nicholas Wilson, 36, of King's Lynn, Norfolk, posed on Facebook and other social media sites as various teenage girls to approach boys.

After building trust, in exchange for pictures and videos of the boys, he would submit nude pictures of young women.

He would then blackmail his victims to give him more extreme videos, in some cases pressuring them to assault friends or younger siblings, the National Crime Agency said.

He sent photographs of the victims to their relatives on many occasions.

In August of last year, he was arrested by the agency during a raid on his mother's house, where he also lived.

After admitting to 96 sex crimes against boys between the ages of four and 14, Wilson was sentenced overnight to 25 years in prison.

He was identified by Judge Rupert Overbury as a' serial paedophile.'

"You demonstrated a complete and utter disregard for every child you manipulated irrespective of their age," Judge Overbury told Wilson.

Your perpetrator had a sadistic aspect, like blackmail and the relentless targeting of innocent children who also begged for compassion.

"You are in my judgement an extremely dangerous individual who has a perverted and sadistic sexual interest in young boys."

Wilson preyed on his victims' weakness, said Tony Cook of the Department.

"David Wilson has absolutely devastated not only his victims but the families they belong to," he said.

He groomed, bullied and blackmailed young boys to send indecent photographs to him and to commit horrific violence on themselves and others in some instances.

"Despite knowing their utter anguish and despair he ignored their pleas for him to stop."

More than 5000 boys were contacted by Wilson on Facebook, with at least 500 sending him pornographic pictures of themselves.

Many of his victims have been so traumatised that they have talked of losing their lives.

On Facebook, most of Wilson's crimes were committed, with the giant of social media making 90 referrals about his offense.

But Facebook was slammed by the National Crime Agency for its plans to encrypt its messaging app.

"Facebook's plans are a disaster for child safety and law enforcement and mean the very many other David Wilsons out there will not be caught," said Rob Jones, director of threat management of the Department.

Criminals will be attracted to Facebook, emboldened and assured that it is a place they can scan with utter impunity for children to sexually exploit them.

"Facebook Messenger is already strongly encrypted, enabling them to detect grooming and known abuse images while protecting privacy."

On Facebook, there are two billion people and we know that a significant number of them target children to rape them.

Mr. Jones said it wasn't too late for Facebook to change its mind on messages being encrypted.

"In 2019 Facebook made 15.8 million global referrals of child sexual abuse material, they have been a huge help to lawful investigations and child safeguarding."

"But their plans will create a haven for child sex offenders to congregate to target children."
