The first episode of HotD will air at 11 a.m. AEDT on Monday, August 22. Each of the next nine episodes will air at the same time each week.
What is the story of House of the Dragon?
HotD is about how Daenerys Targaryen's family, House Targaryen, rose and fell during a civil war called the "Dance of the Dragons."
During this time, the Targaryen dynasty is in charge, and King Viserys Targaryen (Paddy Considine) rules the Seven Kingdoms peacefully.
Viserys's daughter Rhaenyra Targaryen (Emma D'Arcy) and Viserys's brother Prince Daemon Targaryen are among the many people who could be king. This causes chaos (Matt Smith).
Alicent Hightower, who is played by Olivia Cooke and is now Viserys' second wife, is also involved. Based on the trailer, she wants to stop Rhaenyra, her best friend since childhood, from becoming Queen so that she can have a child.
And to make things even more exciting, each Targaryen has a fully grown dragon of their own. Fans of the first season of Game of Thrones will remember how rare dragons were. Daenerys was the only character to have her own three fire-breathing dragons.
House of the Dragon will start streaming on Binge on Monday, August 22 at the same time it starts in the US. There will also be a 4K Ultra HD version of the show on Foxtel.
