More than $14,000 has been raised for the family of 16-year-old Fernando Chavez-Barron, described as a "hardworking" and "modest" 11th-grade honors student who had recently gotten his driver's license and was a "amazing big brother."

Virgil Wimmer, a cousin of Blevins's, told The Post that Blevins, 70, had worked at Walmart for "nearly 30 years" as part of a staff that organized items and determined prices. He announced to Wimmer a year ago that he was going to retire shortly because of his age.

"Laid-back" Blevins, as Wimmer put it, seemed to have changed his mind, and the reason was because "he really liked Walmart," Wimmer claimed.
He was "thrilled" to go to work every day, Wimmer added. That's how I learned he wasn't going into retirement after all.

Michelle Johnson claimed her son, 38-year-old custodian Brian Pendleton, who had recently celebrated his 10-year anniversary with the company, was in the break room when Bing opened fire.
His mom used to say, "He always arrived to work early so he would be on time." He had a positive attitude toward his fellow employees.
