Subaru recall Australia, llewellyn xv wrx 2021 price dealers Sydney

Subaru Impreza models from 2017 to 2019 and Subaru XV models from 2018 to 2019 have been recalled due to concerns about ignition safety.

Over 57,000 Subaru vehicles are being recalled immediately following warnings that a defect could be fatal.

The Subaru Impreza MY2017-2019 and the Subaru XV MY2018-2019 are the two models at the center of the recall.

There are 57,088 cars affected in total across Australia.

Between November 30, 2016 and November 2, 2020, the vehicles were on sale.

In affected vehicles, the ignition coil may overheat, resulting in a short circuit that may blow the ignition coil fuse.

If the ignition coil fuse blows while driving, the engine may shut down and not restart, increasing the risk of an accident, which could result in serious injury or death to vehicle occupants or other road users.

Owners of affected vehicles will be contacted and asked to schedule a free inspection and repair.
