Sam Frost, the star of Home and Away, breaks down when she reveals she's not protected against COVID-19.
In a sad video, actress Sam Frost disclosed that she is still unprotected against the coronavirus.
She opened out about her struggles with mental health in the video, which she posted to Instagram on Saturday.
It's getting to a point now in the world where there's a lot of segregation, Frost said. "I was really reluctant to shoot a video or even speak up about this sort of thing."
For whatever reason, there is a great deal of harsh judgment and criticism floating around. It has taken its toll on my mental health, for sure, and I know others in my circle are also hurting.
Some people refuse vaccinations for a variety of reasons, including their medical history, their worries, a family history, or religious beliefs.
Frost subsequently admitted that she had not received the vaccine and explained that there were "a few reasons" for this.
According to the actress, she'd discussed the matter with both her primary care physician and psychologist, but that information would remain confidential.
This is my decision based on what I've learned from talking to a medical practitioner.
Frost, who broke down in tears, noted that it was especially tough since she felt judged by others.
As she put it, "It's a pretty difficult moment to be in society right now. You feel less of a human and judged,"
There is a part of you that wants to say, 'Well, it's none of your damn business why I am not talking about my viewpoint or my sentiments,' but you can't. And there are valid reasons why I'm not, but I don't want you to criticize me'.
Everything seems to be falling apart at the moment.
Struggle with one's own mental health
According to the actress, things will get even more difficult when residents of NSW who are fully vaccinated are granted freedoms that unvaccinated individuals cannot.
She made it clear that she believed it was crucial for unvaccinated persons to take care of their mental health at that time.
To be honest, that's my biggest worry because I'm having a hard time keeping my mental health in check. Regularly, I visit a psychologist. This makes me feel sorry for those who don't have friends and family to lean on," she remarked.
According to Frost, she feels "lonely" because authorities and companies don't show greater support for unvaccinated people.
She expressed her want for more people to make her feel less alone, saying, "I wish there were more people to do that."
This segregation must end, and people must treat one another with compassion and empathy as human beings.
More than 100,000 people have seen Frost's video, and many have called her "brave" for saying what she did.
One guy remarked, "At the end of the day, it's your body."
In my opinion, no one should ever be forced to do something they don't want to do. Beautiful, I'm sending you tons of love.
"I appreciate your strength. Other people have called you a hero.
