Rockland County pediatrician doctor murdered inside Marcus Garvey Park in Harlem
A doctor was found dead with knife wounds in a Harlem park.
Police say that a 60-year-old pediatrician from Rockland County was stabbed to death. His body was found early Friday morning in a large park in Harlem.
At 2:15 a.m., a person walking through Marcus Garvey Park near the historic Harlem Fire Watchtower found the gruesome scene. Police say that no weapon was found at the scene of the crime. The victim had been stabbed several times, and police said he or she was dead at the scene.

Nearby, condoms were all over the ground in a part of the park that had been linked to open drug use, drug sales, and prostitution in the past.
A source said that there are no security cameras inside the 20-acre park and that police were now looking for video that might have shown the victim going into the park before he died.
As the investigation went on, police blocked off the area around the crime scene. A source said that police were trying to figure out if the doctor came alone or with someone else. The victim's name was kept secret until his family was told.
