Queens street brawl fight ozone park stabbing today, video victims & suspect

 

In a street fight in Queens, one man was stabbed to death and another was cut.

Around 3:10 p.m., two 20-year-olds got into a fight with at least three other people near the corner of Lefferts and Rockaway Boulevards in South Ozone Park, police said.

Police said that one of the victims had been repeatedly stabbed in the chest, and the other had been cut in the leg.

A man who did not want to be named said, "One of them had a knife and was stabbing him on the ground." "It was really bad."

After they left, more surveillance footage shows that a group of firefighters surrounded the victim in the street and gave him chest compressions.

The video shows that the other person who was slashed was leaning against a storefront on a nearby sidewalk while police officers helped him.

The person who had been stabbed to death lay still as members of the FDNY kept pumping his chest.

"When I looked out into the street, he was on the ground," said Imrin Khan, who is 36 years old and lives in the area. "He was on his back, but he wasn't awake or moving.

One of the men died at Jamaica Hospital, while the other was expected to get better.

Khan said, "My heart went boom, boom, boom." "I'd never seen anything like it before."

Police sources said that three teens, ages 13, 15, and 17, were taken into custody and were being questioned by police.

They weren't charged right away.
