The stars of Bridgerton were devastated that their sex scenes made it to porn websites
Bridgerton was left shocked after their sex scenes found their way on pornographic websites, with the streaming service taking action. Stars of Netflix's hottest new show.
Netflix has been scrambling as sex scenes from Bridgerton have been leaked to porn sites.
The streaming service does whatever it can to try to delete the scenes featuring Phoebe Dynevor and Regé-Jean Page as lead actors.
Hundreds of thousands of views have since been garnered by the scenes that were pirated from the immensely successful eight-part period piece.
Since then, numerous clips have been deleted from adult sites, while some have been suspended after getting Netflix notifications.
Phoebe, who plays Daphne Bridgerton, the socialite, is reportedly devastated by the news.
"Bridgerton's sex scenes appearing alongside some of the most obscene material the web has to offer have sparked horror and anger," an insider revealed to The Sun.
"They continued: "The hype has led to raunchy set pieces, but it is a prestige drama focused on best-selling novels.
"It is beyond the pale to peddle scenes as pure smut.
Phoebe and Regé-Jean, two young actors who signed on for the part of a lifetime and did not agree to being abused in this way, were particularly distressing.
Netflix has worked diligently to track down pirates and to eradicate their intellectual property abuse. Anyone thinking about doing this would have the full power against them of the globe's largest streaming service.
The show is jam-packed with sex scenes, which after viewing it with their parents initially left many viewers horrified.
"Who thought it was a good idea to watch #Bridgerton with my parents," one person tweeted.
"Another viewer will certainly not make the same mistake twice as they have written: "Watched #Bridgerton with my parents unintentionally. In the middle of episode 5, it got too uncomfortable, so I faked a coughing fit and went to get a glass of water... for the rest of the show. Know, friends, from my mistakes.
A third user posted: "#Bridgerton's sex scenes are so awkward while watching my parents' series."
The intimacy co-ordinator who ensured the sex scenes were both safe and enjoyable for everyone involved was hailed by Phoebe Dynevor.
"My first-ever scene was in episode six, where Simon is going down on Daphne," Dynevor told Grazia magazine.
And it was so perfect, because it felt comfortable and funny: like a stunt or a dance, you choreograph it. It's ridiculous to me that it wasn't there in the past.
The show follows Daphne Bridgerton, who is the eldest daughter of a wealthy and influential family who wants to get married and find a man.
