Despite being dropped as a Sephora ambassador, Olivia Jade continues to promote the brand.
Olivia Jade Giannulli's passion for Sephora is unmasked.
In a YouTube video posted on Monday, the 21-year-old influencer promoted Sephora Collection sheet masks, two years after the cosmetics retailer severed relations with Lori Loughlin's daughter amid the college admissions controversy.
While rolling a jade roller over one of the brand's "hydrating, moisturizing" masks, she joked, "I love that I got fired from being their ambassador but I'm still their ambassador."
Giannulli unveiled her self-care routine in the video, titled "First Day in My New Apartment," saying she is in a "new wave of life that genuinely began this morning."
She continued, "I'm doing a little face mask and I have a little fridge that has my beauty stuff that I love," describing her beloved "beauty fridge" as one of the "greatest things [she's] ever bought."
Although Loughlin, 56, and her husband Mossimo Giannulli were accused of paying $500,000 for their daughters to attend the University of Southern California as fake crew recruits, brands were pressured to cut ties after Loughlin and her husband Mossimo Giannulli were accused of paying $500,000 for their daughters to attend the University of Southern California as fake crew recruits.
Sephora ended its relationship with Olivia Jade in March 2019, withdrawing her limited-edition bronzing and highlighting palette from its website after critics slammed the items.
Giannulli said she wants to "keep the vibes strong" in 2021 after breaking her silence on the controversy, and she returned to YouTube in January.
Her joke about Sephora isn't the first time she's brought up the incident; she recently responded on TikTok to a fan who brought it up.
Although Loughlin was released from prison in December after spending two months in prison, Olivia Jade's father, 57, remains incarcerated, with a release date set for April 2021.
