A man from Florida was arrested for allegedly filming a child under a bathroom stall at an airport.
A Florida man is being charged with two counts of video voyeurism because he allegedly filmed two people under a stall door in an airport bathroom. One of the people he filmed was an 11-year-old child.
According to jail records, Michel Fernandez Fuentes, 46, was arrested on Friday and booked into the Pinellas County Jail. He worked for a food and drink company inside the St. Pete-Clearwater International Airport.
In June, two different victims said they saw a reflection of themselves in a cell phone that was being held under a bathroom stall door. This was likely because the front-facing camera on the phone was being used.
Detectives found out that Fuentes had gone into the bathroom and used the stall next to where the two victims had been.
When police asked Fuentes about using his phone in the bathroom, he said he did, but he denied filming anyone or using the camera.
The Pinellas County Sheriff's Office said that when detectives got a search warrant for his phone, they found 160 photos of other people's legs in nearby stalls.
Fuentes is also said to have used his phone's camera and photo gallery at times when the two known victims saw the camera under the stall.
On Sunday, SSP America, Fuentes's employer, did not respond to a request for comment.
On Saturday, a $15,000 bond got Fuentes out of the Pinellas County Jail.
