Michael Owen, a football legend, was exposed for soliciting nudity photos from a Big Brother star.
The flirtatious text messages exchanged between a football legend and a popular reality television contestant have been revealed as part of a massive cheating scandal.
In hundreds of text messages, football legend Michael Owen was reportedly pleading with a reality TV star for naked pictures.
According to The Sun, the former Liverpool great turned commentator told former Big Brother housemate Rebecca Jane, 36, that he would "judge" her X-rated photos.
Owen, 41, is married but boasted about viewing one explicit photograph 65 times, according to The Sunday Mirror.
He contacted Jane via email before the conversation allegedly became sexual. The former Liverpool striker allegedly then requested naked photographs, stating, "Leave nothing to the imagination."
Following her compliance, Owen inquired as to whether Rebecca's breasts were "falsies" and later suggested they meet at the races.
On one trip away from home, he requested additional photographs, saying, "Come on, fire them through." It's a long, tedious trip to London, and I'm looking for something to occupy my time... leave nothing to the imagination. And I'll advise on their suitability for social media – fingers crossed, none of them are."
When Jane sent additional images, he replied, "Tremendous, by the way."
“Well, you went straight in there with a photo of your t**s, so there's no point in going back now. Hmmm. Not bad at all. Excellent t**s.
“How about sending me approximately twenty? That would be ideal.”
According to a friend, former television star Jane, now a trainee solicitor, was overjoyed to be contacted by Owen, a childhood hero.
“Rebecca was aware she was flirting with a married man, but went along with it,” she told The Sunday Mirror.
“She is aware that some people will judge her, but she is a single girl. She is quite outgoing, but she was taken aback by his openness.”
Dad-of-four Owen, who married childhood sweetheart Louise Bonsall in 2005, also boasted that strangers believe he is a "angel" until they meet him.
When contacted by The Mirror, an Owen spokesman declined to comment.
Who is Louisa Bonsall, the wife of Michael Owen?
Owen is married to Bonsall, but she has stayed out of the public eye.
In 1984, they met in primary school and became childhood sweethearts while attending Hawarden High School in Flintshire, Wales.
The couple became engaged in 2004 on Valentine's Day — which also happens to be Bonsall's birthday — when the football legend proposed at their home.
Bonsall is passionate about horse rescue, and their home includes space for her to keep horses and Owen to keep cars.
She began riding at the age of seven with her brother Andrew, before expanding her passion to include assisting at the riding school and exercising friends' horses.
Bonsall sustained horrific injuries in 2004 as a result of a horseback riding accident. She spent three weeks in the hospital after breaking her back twice and her hip and pelvis five times.
Her marriage to Owen resulted in the birth of four children: Gemma Rose, James Michael, Emily May, and Jessica. Gemma, the eldest, was born in 2003.
