Max Verstappen Triumphs over Sergio Perez to Win Miami Grand Prix: Secures Third Victory of the Season

Max Verstappen emerged as the victor in the Miami Grand Prix, overpowering Sergio Perez in a gripping Formula 1 race early on Monday morning (8/5/2023) WIB. Verstappen secured his third victory of the season after starting the race in ninth position. He skillfully overtook several drivers ahead of him, relying on a mix of speed and tire management strategy to put himself in a prime position to challenge Perez, who had a different approach.

Verstappen closed in on Perez at the end of lap 45, narrowing the gap to just 1.5 seconds. He then used his fresher medium tires to make a move on Perez in the main straight, but had to tackle a long turn at Turn 1. Despite facing difficulty in overtaking Perez, Verstappen finally clinched his third win in five races, securing his lead by 14 points ahead of his teammate at the top of the Formula 1 world championship standings.
