Any evacuations for Cal-Wood Fire
BOULDER COUNTY, Col. (KDVR)—Crews responded to a new wildfire burning midday Saturday northwest of Boulder.
UPDATE (Oct. 17, 10:25 p.m.): Button Rock Preserve was closed by Longmont Cal-Wood Fire on Sunday. Seven miles west of Lyons on BC Route 80. The city will alert the public if closure extends.

UPDATE (Oct. 17, 9:30 p.m.): Boulder County Sheriff's Office updated the fire and answered media queries.
BCSO claims buildings have been destroyed or missing, but they can not quantify how many or precise positions they presume from fire activity and movement.
An official says natural causes have ruled out for the fire spark, but it's still too early to decide the exact cause.
UPDATE (Oct. 17, 9:02 p.m.): Boulder's Broadway and Iris evacuation center closed for the night. It'll reopen 9 a.m. Sunday. The upgrade hotline shuts at 10 p.m. Reopen at 8 a.m.

Change (Oct. 17, 4:40 p.m.): Cattle (horses, cows, dogs, ducks, pigs, etc.) and pets at Boulder County Fairgrounds, 9595 Nelson Rd, Longmont.
Pets (cats, dogs, etc.) should go to the Iris / Broadway evacuation point or the Boulder Valley Humane Society, 2323 55th St, Boulder.
UPDATE (Oct. 17, 3:13 p.m.): Evacuation check-in at 3460 N. Broadway – North Broadway Complex at Broadway and Iris. Evacuees and pets can go there for check-in and updates.
The fire climbed the final ridge before hitting the plateau. It seems to be near homes west of Altona, up the road. It's 5 miles north of Boulder.
At 12:45 p.m., the Boulder County Sheriff's office said the fire is near the Cal-Wood Education Center, approximately 10 miles northwest of Boulder.
Around 1:50 p.m., the Boulder Emergency Management Office said Jamestown was evacuated.
BCSO claims County Road 87 is blocked due to flames. South Saint Vrain Drive is closed between Lyons town and Peak to Peak Highway.
"Please avoid the area and allow the first responders space to operate," the sheriff's office said, naming the blaze "Cal Wood Burn."
Even evacuating the Hall Ranch and Heil Valley trails, BSCO said.
Smoke is visible from the Front Range, like Denver.
