John McAfee's wife publicly stated that the US desired that he "die in prison" — just three days before he was discovered hanged in his cell.
Janice McAfee made the damning statement in a Father's Day post Sunday, while her husband was in a Spanish jail awaiting extradition to the United States to face federal tax evasion charges.
“John's integrity has frequently landed him in hot water with corrupt governments and corrupt government officials as a result of his outspoken nature and refusal to be extorted, intimidated, or silenced,” wrote Janice, who met McAfee while working as a prostitute.
“Now, the US authorities are hell-bent on sending John to prison in order to punish him for speaking out against corruption within their government agencies,” she wrote.
McAfee was discovered dead in a Barcelona jail three days later, with his death Wednesday ruled a suicide and foul play ruled out by Spanish authorities.
He, too, had previously warned of a possible conspiracy, drawing parallels to the ongoing rumors about late pedophile Jeffrey Epstein's suicide in his Manhattan jail in August 2019.
“Be aware that if I hang myself, as Epstein did, it will be entirely my fault,” McAffee had previously warned.
His wife's message insisted that there was "no chance of him ever having a fair trial in America because there is no longer any justice."
“You must either play ball or you will be f**ked. Those are literally the only options available at the moment,” she wrote.
“Previously, you were presumed innocent until proven guilty, but that has changed to presumed guilty until proven innocent,” she lamented.
“Nowaday, anyone can level the most heinous accusations against you without proof or basis in reality, but in the court of public opinion, you are tried, convicted, and found guilty, and your life is irreparably destroyed, all before you have your day in court,” she explained.
“These eight months in prison in Spain have taken a toll on John's overall health, both mentally and physically, as well as financially, but he remains undeterred in his commitment to speaking truth to power,” she insisted.
“Happy Father's Day, John David, Father of many, loved by few,” she signed off.
