Jason Galleghan video bashed and died at Westmead Hospital, 8 people arrested

Two additional people have been charged in connection with the suspected bashing murder of a Sydney youngster in Doonside.

A week after a bereaved Sydney mother asked for assistance in apprehending the murders of her teenage son, police have arrested two further suspects in connection with the incident.

Jason Galleghan, 16, was found battered in his home in western Sydney on August 4 and later died at Westmead Hospital.

Rachel Galleghan described her son's death last week as "utterly terrible and tragic."

"We have all lost a piece of ourselves that will never be replaced, and I would want to ask for the community's continued support in pursuing Jason's case to ensure that justice is done," she added.

Eight people, ranging in age from 13 to 32, have been charged with their respective roles in the incident and are in custody.
