Heavy rain Madison, little league world series llws rain game delay
Due to inclement weather, the South Dakota Little League World Series game has been rescheduled for Monday at 2 p.m.
Rain and thunderstorms pushed the Little League World Series' second game from Sunday to Monday, Aug. 23 at 2 p.m. CT.
At 11:40 a.m. CT, a lightning delay brought the Hawaii-Nebraska game to a halt in the top of the sixth inning. South Dakota's game against Oregon was scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. CT following the conclusion of Hawaii's game against Nebraska.

Little League International confirmed the game's postponement via email Sunday at 1 p.m. CT due to bad weather. A subsequent email verified that the game will now take place on Monday at 2 p.m. CT.
The game was initially scheduled to air on ABC but has been moved to ESPN.
Additionally, the MLB Little League Classic was stated as a rationale for the postponement. The Los Angeles Angels and Cleveland Indians game is slated to begin at 6:08 p.m. CT in Williamsport, and all Little League games are expected to conclude prior to that time to let players to attend.

On Friday, the Sioux Falls-based squad defeated Louisiana 2-0 behind a combined no-hitter from Gavin Weir, who struck out 15 batters in 5-2/3 innings. Weir will be unable to pitch Monday due to Little League pitch count guidelines. In Friday's post-game news conference, manager Mike Gorsett announced that Maddux Munson would be the team's next starting pitcher.
