Georgina Chapman, Harvey Weinstein's ex-wife, steps out with Oscar-winner Adrien Brody.
Georgina Chapman has remarried an Oscar-winning actor following her divorce from Harvey Weinstein.
Adrien Brody, an Oscar-winning actor, has confirmed his romance with Harvey Weinstein's ex-wife Georgina Chapman.
The pair were photographed on the red carpet in New York City for the Tribeca Film Festival premiere of Brody's crime thriller Clean.
The actor, 48, and the British fashion designer, 45, remained close as they posed arm in arm for photographers.
Chapman, who co-founded fashion label Marchesa, wore a blue and black floral-embroidered gown, while Brody, who dated Elsa Pataky before she married Chris Hemsworth, wore a maroon suit.
Brody and Chapman's relationship was first confirmed by People magazine in February.
Chapman's relationship with Brody is her first public romance since she ended her relationship with Harvey Weinstein in 2017 following multiple women, including prominent actresses, accusing him of sexual assault. Weinstein was convicted twice, with a jury convicting him of a first-degree criminal sex act and third-degree rape.
In 2007, the designer married Weinstein, with whom he shares two children. Weinstein agreed to a reported $19 to $27 million payout in their divorce settlement in 2018. Additionally, Chapman was granted primary custody of the children.
She released a statement following the split that read, "My heart breaks for all the women who have endured tremendous pain as a result of these unforgivable actions." I've chosen to separate from my husband. My first priority is to care for my young children, and I respectfully request privacy from the media at this time.”
In her first interview since her divorce, Chapman admitted, "There was a part of me that was terribly naive – clearly, so naive." I have fits of rage, fits of confusion, fits of disbelief! And there are times when I simply cry for my children. What will their lives be like? What are they going to say? It's as if they adore their father. They are devoted to him.”
Additionally, she stated to the interviewer that she had never been suspicious of his behavior.
Chapman remains at the helm of her fashion label Marchesa and has received support from global celebrities such as Scarlett Johansson and Cindy Crawford in the aftermath of the Weinstein scandal.
Harvey Weinstein is scheduled to be extradited to Los Angeles from New York to face additional charges. Weinstein desired to remain at Buffalo State Prison in New York, where he is currently serving a 23-year sentence, in order to continue receiving medical treatment for a variety of ailments.
