David McArthur murder stabbed to death at caravan park, a man arrested

At the Sanctuary Point mobile site, a man has been charged with alleged murder.

A man has been charged with murder in connection with the stabbing death of a man at a trailer park on the NSW South Coast.

On July 21, David McArthur was allegedly stabbed in the chest in a Sanctuary Point RV park.

Police attempted CPR but were unable to resuscitate the 49-year-old.

Today, police went to a Silverwater correctional institution and arrested and charged a guy with murder.

He has been remanded in custody and is scheduled to appear today in Nowra Local Court.

Mr McArthur's father spoke last week about the "extremely difficult" three months following his son's death.

"The previous three months have been tremendously difficult for our family - all the more so because we still don't know how or why David died," Stuart McArthur said.

"David was a proud Australian who cherished life and was an exceptionally generous man.

"He did not deserve to die in those conditions," the bereaved father stated.

Strike Force Frawley's investigations continue.
