The Spread Creek area has been sealed off in the search for Gabby Petito.
Spread Creek Dispersed Camping Area is closed until further notice in conjunction with the search for Gabby Petito in the Bridger-Teton National Forest on the east perimeter of Grand Teton National Park.
The FBI's Denver Field Office, in collaboration with its Wyoming Resident Agencies, the National Park Service, the United States Forest Service, the Teton County Sheriff's Office, and the Jackson Police Department, issued the closing notice at 7 p.m. tonight, Saturday.
Spread Creek is located in the Bridger-Teton National Forest, directly east of Grand Teton National Park on US Highway 89. It encompasses the Toppings Lake camping area and is a popular zone for visitors to the park who desire to camp in areas other than permitted campgrounds.
Additionally, the FBI requested assistance from anyone who was at the Spread Creek Dispersed Camping Area between Aug. 27-30 and had contact with Gabby or her boyfriend Brian Laundrie, or who saw their car.

"While we are unable to comment further on the nature of this investigation, we will offer updates and solicit additional assistance from the public as necessary," the FBI letter stated.
