A 25-year-old man was shot and killed in front of a luxury Manhattan hotel.
A man was shot and killed early Thursday in front of a posh Chelsea hotel, police said.
Byron Morales, 25, was arguing with the gunman outside the Dream Hotel on W. 16th St. near Ninth Ave. at 12:22 a.m. when the suspect pulled out a 9mm handgun and shot him in the lower body, police said.
Morales, of Brooklyn, was rushed to Lenox Hill Hospital by EMS but could not be saved.
The suspect jumped into a Jeep with several other people and fled the scene, police said. He left behind two shell casings and a deformed bullet.
According to cops, the victim was an associate of the Outlaws gang, not a hotel guest. Detectives were looking into whether his death was connected to a gang.
No arrests have been made.
