Brian Laundrie may have been spotted on a Florida deer camera; detectives are 'actively' investigating.

Authorities in Florida stated Tuesday that they are "actively" reviewing deer camera footage that shows a hiker who appears to be Gabby Petito's missing boyfriend, Brian Laundrie, walking into the forest.

Sam Bass said he saw the man carrying a backpack at 6:17 a.m. Monday in Baker, Fla., around 500 miles from Laundrie's house in North Port.

“I'm not saying this is the guy, but whoever was on my trail camera this morning in Baker, Fl fits the description of Brian Laundrie quite well,” Bass posted on Facebook. “Authorities have been contacted, but residents of North West Florida should remain vigilant.”

Laundrie, who has been identified as a person of interest in Petito's disappearance, was reported missing on Friday by his parents.

Baker is under the authority of the Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office, who acknowledged that they were investigating the alleged sighting.

“We are aware and are actively investigating,” sheriff's spokeswoman Michele Nicholson told The Post on Tuesday, adding, "There is no confirmation at this time."

However, social media sleuths have noted that the man's backpack matched one seen on Laundrie's Instagram Stories.

“It appears as though the man in Sam Bass' video in Baker, Florida, is wearing the same backpack as Brian Laundrie. Could that be him?” inquired one Twitter user.

Laundrie's parents reported to authorities that he left the house with a backpack to go for a trek in the region and never returned.

On Tuesday, search crews were looking for him in Sarasota County's Carlton Reserve, where he allegedly abandoned his Ford Mustang.

Laundrie is being sought after investigators discovered a body thought to be Petito's in Wyoming's Bridger-Teton National Forest on Sunday.

The cause of death has not been released, and an autopsy is set for Tuesday.
