Bachelorette Hannah Brown pageant talent bikini, net worth boyfriend 2021

The term Bachelorette is used interchangeably with Bachelor Hannah Brown discusses becoming sexually objectified when competing in beauty pageants.

Hannah Brown's mental health suffered as a result of being sexually objectified at such a young age.

The star of "The Bachelorette" opened up about an early encounter with a beauty pageant director that left her scarred for years.

“I had a pageant director who emailed me a photo of another girl's body and said, 'I need you to look like this in your swimsuit before this time.' Brown referred to an upcoming episode of the Facebook Watch series "At Home with the Robertsons."

The 26-year-old reality star has previously spoken candidly about her struggles with body confidence.

According to People, she told Korie and Sadie Robertson, mother and daughter hostesses, that the "objectifying" remarks "really messed with" her.

“It destroyed me, it really did,” she said. I'd go a year without carbs. It really messed with me, and as a result, I dealt with some anxiety and depression.”

The "Dancing with the Stars" winner revealed on YouTube that although her battles with her body began at a young age, the negative feelings were compounded once she joined the pageant universe.

“I recalled that I was starving. I was so, so hungry," Brown recalls of a "extreme diet" she embarked on after a close friend recommended she consume only liquids to lose weight.

“As soon as I stopped [dieting] after the pageant, I was practically starving and gained all of the weight back and more,” Brown revealed. “That was extremely difficult for me, and it precipitated the long-running yo-yo effect.”

The Tuscaloosa, Alabama, native — who rose to fame as a contestant on "The Bachelor" in 2018 and then as the standalone star of "The Bachelorette" — admitted that it was difficult for her to be around "all these beautiful people who are all so little."

Competing in the celebrity-studded dance competition also did little to alleviate her negative feelings about her weight.
