Jury Convicts Murdering Ex-Bride Lover's

A woman was convicted of killing her ex-bride lover's in a case the prosecutor characterized in her deception, passion, and betrayal as Shakespearean.

The man, Ron Griffin, committed suicide two months after Darcy Matlock killed his bride.

In December, Matlock was accused of murdering 24-year-old Andrean Hanks by shooting two bullets through an apartment window. Matlock, married in Griffin's affair, was sentenced to life.

Hanks married Griffin, 27, three months before she was murdered.

Prosecutor Mike Little told the jury that the entire case was ′′Shakespearean in dimension′′ with Griffin addicted and obsessed with Matlock and unable to continue her life.

Matlock's own marriage disintegrated after Griffin broke off their affair and began dating Hanks, testifying. Her husband abandoned her, taking her 4-year-old daughter.

Defense attorney Cyrus Callum told jurors Matlock, 29, was depressed by her own marital failure and could not be held responsible for the shooting.
